In Defiance of What?

There are many of us walking the world who were victimized, abused and broken by those parasites who fed off of our innocence for their own gain. The key figure in this discussion for me is my biological "brother" Brian, who between the years of 1984 and approximately 1995 did his best to break down every facet of my personality. I endured psychological terrorism, sexual abuse, death threats and physical violence, and through it all I emerged somehow still standing.  

Every day that I wake up, step into the world, do my work, pay my bills, survive and thrive is a day lived in full defiance of Brian Roma and all those lowlife psychopath/sociopath predators just like him.
